My Core Beliefs

Every Transition Deserves Reverence

Birth, loss, and death aren't problems to solve—they're profound transitions to honor. These experiences deserve more than clinical management. They deserve presence, ritual, and meaning-making.

Trauma Doesn't Disqualify You from Empowerment

If you're a survivor of sexual assault, previous traumatic birth, or other trauma, you can still have empowered experiences. We understand your story, identify your triggers, and create support that helps you feel safe. Trauma-informed care transforms what could be re-traumatizing into what can be healing.

Your Body's Wisdom Deserves Trust

Your body knows how to birth, grieve, and die. My role isn't to override that wisdom—it's to support you in trusting what your body knows while providing tools and guidance when you need them.

All Losses Are Legitimate

Pregnancy loss is real grief. Abortion can involve mourning. Infant death devastates. Death of any person matters. I don't rank losses or determine which grief is "legitimate enough" to honor. If it's loss to you, it's loss.

Access Shouldn't Depend on Wealth

Everyone deserves doula support. The Green Bottle sliding scale means your financial circumstances inform what you pay, not whether you get care.

Integration Matters More Than Perfection

I'm not here to give you a "perfect" birth or a "good" death. I'm here to support you in integrating these experiences into your life story in ways that feel authentic to you.
